The project site is located along the Arkansas River, positioned between two vibrant areas. To the north lies the Argenta Arts District of North Little Rock, while to the south is the Little Rock River Market. This strategic location offers an opportunity to bridge these two areas and contribute to the revitalization of North Little Rock.

The primary goal of the project is to rehabilitate the area by introducing a recreational center in a part of the city that has long been overlooked. The design is rooted in the concept of giving back to the community by enhancing access, visibility, and engagement along the riverfront.

A key design move involved shifting the existing levee wall closer to the river and integrating it into the exterior wall of the building’s lower volume. This gesture creates a physical and symbolic connection between the structure and the surrounding district.

Two additional building masses were placed above the base and oriented to frame views toward the Argenta Arts District and the River Market. The surrounding landscape was carefully designed to provide accessible routes to both the lower and upper levels of the building directly from the adjacent roadway.
